The SHOR Ministries Doctrinal Statement
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God and the only practical guide for daily living.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus is God in the flesh. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for the sins of the world, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the position of honor and power at the right hand of the Father, and will return bodily to the earth in power and glory. He is the only mediator between God and man.
Man cannot do anything to merit salvation from God. Without repentance for sins, man is lost and separated from God; salvation is only by the grace of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the repentant and believing sinner becomes a new creation and is empowered to live a godly life.
We believe the Jesus established His churches to carry out His work in the world.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
